Simon Says "Anything with Buttons goes" # 3

This image is from,   WhimsyAndStarsStudio   it's coffee girl" ( I recently purchased some digital stamps from the etsy shop)   This week at Simon Says Stamp their Wednesday Challenge is Anything goes with Buttons. So I'm adding this card  to the link up. I also added two other cards for this week's challenge see my last two posts for those cards.  Of course I used my copic marker to color in the image. I used my Sizzix coffee bean embossing folder for the background. The "THANKS" stamp is a Studio G Katie & Co Michael's $1.50 Stamp. Also coloured that with my copic markers.  Then I added three buttons  to finish off the card.

MFT Colour Palette Challenge #3

This month's MFT Colour Palette Challenge # 3 combined this colours listed below. As I don't have MFT's official cardstock colours I matched the colours as best I could with the cardstock I get at Michael's.  My Card: I'm really happy with the way this turned out. Once again I used my MFT "My Favourite Things" Pure Innocence Birthday Princess stamp. (This stamp is literally once of my favourite things at the moment and probably my most used stamp. I really need some more of these cute Pure Innocence stamps) The Happy Birthday stamp is from INKADINKADO.  Both the girl and Happy Birthday are stamped with Memento "Tuxedo Black" which I recently purchased for colouring with my copics. I quickly did embossing with my clear embossing powder on the Happy Birthday as Memento ink dries really fast.   I love how the buttons just make this card pop. I have so many buttons, I'm just glad I had two matching pairs that fit the c

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch 169

Here is this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club's Sketch.   This is what my take on the sketch looks like.  I really like how the card turned out. This is not my usual style for cards but I like it.  I have a lot of flower embellishments and such that I don't really use so this is an excuse to pull them out.  I'm also entered this card into Simon Says Stamps "Anything goes with button" challenge for the week.

Happy Birthday!!

On march 10th it was my brothers birthday! So I made him this card to celebrate his special day!

Happy Birthday!

On march 13th it was my sister in law's birthday and she loves green so I made this cute card to celebrate her special day.  Could you guess that her favorite colour is green?

Simon Says Mother's Day or Special Girl

I've got a few new cards I've been making for this week's Challenge at SimonSaysStamp's Wednesday challenge blog.   The front: Once again using a Precious Moments stamp that I have. (I really love these images, so cute) It's also from Stampendous. I coloured the image with my copic markers. The background is the Cuttlebug embossing folder of small dots.  The Just because sentiment is from Studio G the Michael's brand and I embossed it with my Silver embossing powder by Anita's embossing powder. I really wanted to make the words pop and I think the silver made that happen. I then made the flag shape and made it pop off the page even more by putting some white behind the blue flag and then trimming it down to get the look I wanted. Then lastly I added some pink hearts to the side with just a standard heart punch.  The inside: Make the inside really simple by ripping the top of white cardstock and using a bigger heart punch to add the heart to

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Card Sketch 167

I'm playing along with MFT's Wednesday Card sketch this week once again.  The sketch:  My card: For the image I used this precious moments stamp by Stampendous.  Then I coloured in the image with my copic markers. The sentiment is from studio G stamps from Michael's. The sentiment is also embossed with Stampendous clear embossing powder.  The background is embossed using my big shot machine and the Cuttlebug small dots embossing folder.   The two pink pearl halves are from Forever in Time paper craft collection which I got a Wal-Mart. Happy Birthday & Happy St. Patrick's Day all in one (MFT 166)

This card was suppose to be uploaded to MFT's Wednesday Card sketch 166 , but I missed the upload.    I really love how this card turned out.  This card is for my Mother in Laws birthday which is coming up on the 16th of March. Since her birthday always falls the day before St. Patrick's Day she always incorporates her birthday parties with that day and does the whole green thing. So I wanted to capture that in a card for her.  I was throwing a few ideas around and then I thought hey, let's use the sketch for this week from MFT, and let me tell you it turned out better than I could imagine.   The supplies I used were as follows, The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug (Pravocraft) not sure what it's called. But I thought it matched the theme so well. The paper is from Michael's. I made the circle with my spellbinders nestabilities Standard Circles Large dies. The Stamp is of course a MFT Pure Innocence stamp called "Birthday Princess" and I c

Mixed Media Lighthouse painting

I'm really excited about this project. I've had the idea for awhile and finally had time to make it.  I was trying to figure out the best way to do the project and showcase the lighthouse dimensional sticker I got of the light house.  I used 3 different embossing folders for the background.  The sun rays and waves are embossing folders from Sizzix from the Tim Holtz alterations collection and the dots to represent the sand is an embossing folder from cuttlebug.  After I adhered the embossed papers to the canvas I watercolor the paper. I embossed it all in white so I could add the water color just right. After the water coloring was done I put the very cool light house sticker on the and also the bird stickers that came with the set. I also used a soft gel (Gloss) from Golden Artist colors to protect the water colors from smearing and to just give it a more finished look.

MFT Color Palette Challenge 2

Here is MFT's  Color Palette Challenge 2 . This month's colours were    Kraft ,  Sweet Tooth ,  Lemon Drop , and  Blu Raspberry  combo. Though I didn't use the exact colours from MFT's, I tried to match them up as close as I could.  And I'm happy with how this card turned out. I'm loving following this different sketches and challenges and trying new things.  All the cardstock is from Michael's except for the blue, I ordered that online at papermill for my wedding. I have tons of it leftover. Your'e the best stamp is also from Michael's it's a Studio G stamp from the $1.50 bin. It's embossed with Stampendous Pearlustre Embossing Powder Colour Sapphire.  For the circle I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circle Large Die. The small flower is paper flowers from Sudio 18. The blue pearl half on the flags is from Forever in time the paper craft collection.  The embossed background is a Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations embossin
